“Trillion Dollar Man” Sends Up Tech-Bro Triumphalism: Single Drops April 3 2026
Les Techno teamed up with XnOrmL the electronic art rock poetry performance unit to record “Trillion-dollar Man,” a punky send-up of techno-titan swagger and excess. The single is part of the forthcoming Xn0rmL vinyl album You, Me, and the Algorithmic Sea, whose subtitle “a comedy with scary bits about intelligence, artificial and otherwise,” provides a sense of their approach to the oversized wealth, power, and influence of tech-culture. As the Trillion-Dollar Man, Les Techno sings “You can love your neighbor, You can turn the other cheek...." But the Trillion-Dollar Man has other plans. "And I know what I want" sings Les. With his "rocket that makes me bigger than God”, The Trillion Dollar Man has “closed the deal to buy the sun.”
Biography
Les presents songs of social satire with sonic influences ranging from hip-hoppy grooves and 80’s punk-wave to electric guitar psychedelia and electronic music. A New York City rocker, noted guitarist and studio whiz-kid, Les’ prior releases “Edge of the World”, “Guilty Pleasure” and “Come Along” get regular play. “Edge of the World” reached #20 Indie DRT Chart and #144 Global DRT Chart in December 2019 and "Where were You?" was featured on Detroit's WRIF "Underground Sound System" in 2018. Les has made hip-hop tracks with Run-DMC (Profile), Mobb Deep (Loud/RCA), Onyx (Def Jam/Sony) and Red Hot Chili Peppers (Higher Ground).
